We definitely don't do anything like this ourselves, though what Microsoft
installer does under the hood (I assume you use the .msi package on Windows),
only Microsoft knows. Also, you can always use the .zip package for Windows
instead. While not as convenient, it is just an archive and definitely
shouldn't establish any connections.
