Thanks again for the quick response - that fixes the serialisation
problem!

However, trying to reload the generated xml file fails. It seems to
depend on the order of the xsi:schemaLocation and
xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation declarations. 

My original instance declared xsi:schemaLocation first and that loaded
fine. The generated file swaps the order and that fails to load with
"error: Unknown element 'b:UserDatabase'" (the root element). Manually
swapping the order back confirms this.

Nearly there! :-)
