ODB will add fairly comprehensive database schema evolution support
in the next release (expected around end-July). It will include
automatic schema migration as well as support/hooks for data migration.

In fact, most of it is already implemented and what's left is some
loose ends and documentation. We will probably publish a beta before
the final release if you would like to give it a try.
