Just a quick note: at long last and thanks to a persistent effort of László Böszörményi, ODB 2.4.0 is now packaged for Debian and available in the testing and unstable Debian repositories as well as the wily Ubuntu repository. This includes the full set of packages: the ODB compiler, the runtimes for all the open source databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite) as well as both profile libraries (Qt and Boost).

Needless to say, as a long-time Debian user myself, I am very happy!
